Featured Story

It is pleasing to hear of the wonderful sporting success of three of our students; Graeme Frislie (Year 9), Julia Bourke (Year 12) and Sophie McMinimee (Year 10).

Graeme Frislie: Has been awarded the Victorian Junior Cyclist of the year and recently won multiple Gold medals at the State Titles. Graeme will now go to the Nationals in the Victorian Team.

Julia Bourke: won Gold in the U/12 Hammer Throw and Gold in the U/20 Shot Put. Julie has now qualified for Junior and Open Nationals in both events.

Sophie McMinimee: won Bronze in the double of 1500 m and 3000m; meaning she has qualified for the Junior Nationals in Perth.

I congratulate them on their success to date and we wish them continued success at the next level of competition.

It was also pleasing to hear the fine efforts by all of our students at the Lions Youth of the Year Competition in Bacchus Marsh. I would like to congratulate Kieran McKenzie on being named Bacchus Marsh Youth of the Year and Phoebe Hogarth for being awarded best speaker of the evening. Kieren will move to regional competition as the year continues and the school wishes him well in the next round of competition.

Andrew A. Neal
