It has been extremely pleasing to see the way in which students have approached their mid-year examinations. The exams at all levels have operated extremely smoothly and I would like to thank all those involved for their assistance. Special mention must go to our past students who, as in so many areas, prove what wonderfully sensible and organised people our school community turns out.

I will be away for most of third term on a combination of Sabbatical and Long Service Leave. As I enter my nineteenth year as Principal of the school it is important that I have time to look at new ideas and refresh. The next few years at the school are going to be ones of great change in education and it is our intention as usual to stay ahead of the game. In my absence Kevin Richardson will be Acting Principal assisted by Liz O’Day. Jenny Jovanovic will act as Head of the Senior School and Deb Ogston has been appointed as an Assistant Principal and will act in Jenny’s role as Deputy Head of the Senior School.

Sarah Hunter has resigned as Head of Year 7 and Transition Coordinator for personal reasons. I would like to thank Sarah for her long-term work in these areas and I hope to see her able to take a leadership role on again in the future. I would like to congratulate Zoe Erickson who has accepted the appointment of both Head of Year 7 and Transition Coordinator.

Andrew A. Neal
Principal
