Featured Story

I would like to welcome back all staff and students from what I hope was a restful three-week Term 2/3 break. We have a number of new staff who have commenced work in the latter weeks of Term two and the beginning of Term 3, replacing staff who have taken Long Service Leave and Maternity Leave.

Welcome to:

  • Ms Manta Ramgolam – Mathematics
  • Ms Rebecca Bourke – Junior School
  • Ms Lillian Steinicke – History & Geography
  • Ms Georgina Solano – Mathematics and Science
  • Ms Fiona Davidson - Mathematics and Science
  • Mr Michael Howell – History & Geography

With all activities and excursions organised by the school, students are supplied with a permission notice to inform parents of the nature of the activity and excursion. Parts of the notice includes a permission and medical notice (when required) requesting permission from parents to attend or participate in such activities. Whilst one aspect of the notice is to seek permission, the other aspect of the notice is, for you the parent, to be aware of the types of excursion and activities that your child will be involved in.

The returning of the permission form is your opportunity to inform the school of any medical concerns regarding your son or daughter that may impact on such activities. To give staff the opportunity to appropriately collate and review notices, we will be requiring that all notices be returned at least three days prior to all excursions and activities, otherwise your childs participation in these activities will be jeopardized. Please ensure that all forms and notices are returned promptly.

All notices are to be returned to the Main Administration unless otherwise stated.

As you are now aware the School has decided to cease operating an internal canteen and outsourced the full canteen function to Metro Canteens effective from Term 3. The arrangements with Metro Canteens includes not only canteen services but also to provide additional catering services to Bacchus Marsh Grammar students, staff and community across an expanded range of catering requirements. During the phasing in of the new arrangements for the School Café there are bound to be some minor teething problems so your patience during this time is appreciated.

School Café

  • Please note that the Canteen will now be called the School Café and we intend to ask the SRC to conduct a name competition among students for the naming of the Café.
  • Over the next few weeks we will introduce a number of initiatives to further enhance the image of the School Café.

Menus for Café Services

  • There is a menu available for lunch orders specifying items available for Junior School students and Senior School students.

  • There is also separate menu for over the counter purchases (however items available will vary each day) and not all items will be available for Junior School students.

  • Menus for café services will be available on the School’s website.
