Featured Story

Over the weekend we interviewed prospective students for Year 7 2018.  It was extremely pleasing to see so many bright and eager young people looking to join the school.

The Term has been a somewhat disjointed one with building projects and I thank people for their patience in dealing with what is really a large building site.  I hope by the early part of next term most works will be finished and we can have a short respite from building.  Work continues at a pace at Staughton Vale and planning is rapidly gathering pace on the main campus site at Woodlea.

I wish everyone a safe and relaxing Easter and hope they have time to reflect on the messages of hope and renewal which are central messages of this important time for many of both ours and the broader community.

Principal

END OF TERM ARRANGEMENTS

Friday 31 March is the last day of Term 1. The finishing times for students on this date will be 2.05pm for Junior School Students and 2:15pm for Senior School Students.

Bus services will coincide with the early finish times, however the following school public bus services will follow their regular timetabled schedules and not operate the hour earlier:

Bacchus Marsh – CRC – West Melton

Bacchus Marsh – CRC – Kurunjang

Toolern Vale – Melton

Eynesbury – Staughton – Melton (Strathtulloch Estate)

Any students travelling on these services will need make alternative arrangements to be collected earlier or wait for the usual bus time.

COMMENCEMENT OF TERM TWO
The commencement date for students for Term 2 is Wednesday 19 April.

SCHOOL UNIFORM – JUNIOR & SENIOR SCHOOL
Full (winter) School Uniform is to be worn from the beginning of Term Two.

Parents and students will need to begin checking that they have Full School uniform (winter) and that it fits appropriately. Full School Uniform is required to be worn from the beginning of Term 2.

Check full (winter) uniforms over the term break to ensure that they comply with school regulations, to avoid any unnecessary consequences.

On days that are forecast to be unseasonably warm (greater than 25o) students may wear their Summer Uniform.

If your child is considering an “alternative” hairstyle, or extra piercings, please contact Mrs O’Day or myself for clarification on what is acceptable. Refer to uniform requirements as outlined in the front of the students’ diary.

OLD GOLD AND BLACK SPRAY JACKET

The old gold and black spray jacket was phased out over the past three years and is no longer part of the school uniform. The BMG spray jacket was last sold as a uniform item in 2015 with the understanding that it would no longer be part of the school uniform from 2017 onwards, hence the heavily reduced price.

This jacket has been replaced by the BMG Anorak. Please note that the Anorak may be worn to protect the school blazer, not instead of the school blazer and is not to be worn in class.

Please review the School Uniform regulations as set out in the diary. If you are unsure, please ask prior to any significant “fashion” changes.
