Recently, the School distributed ‘Exclusion from Multimedia’ forms to families, which accompanied information relating to our new BMG Facebook page.

Previously, the School collected permission for use of images for web or school publications via the Medical form on an annual basis. To streamline this process we are asking the School Community that if you do not want your child/ren to feature in any multimedia (images, video and audio) we would like you to complete the ‘Exclusion from Multimedia’ form and return it to school. The form can be located under the “Community Tab” on the school website www.bmg.vic.edu.au

These forms are required to be submitted to the Principal’s Office by 1 December. Once all forms are collected, a list of students for exclusion will be provided to teaching staff in preparation for 2018. Staff will then be mindful not to capture images that include this list of students.

It is worth mentioning that the School is hoping to dabble in social media, posting School or student successes, key upcoming events, which can potentially feature photos but not always. The main purpose is to connect with the Community to keep it informed. Additionally we hope to improve on our current website with frequent updates and a current calendar.

The School’s 2017 Yearbook is in production and going to print at the end of this week.

The Yearbook is an annual School publication and a traditional collaboration from staff and students displaying a glimpse of the year level highlights for 2017. I would like to mention that the Yearbook is not available online and only printed for distributed to students at the end of the School year.

If you have submitted an Exclusion from Multimedia form as of 10 November, the School has made every effort to ensure your child/ren are not in any of the highlight pages but it is not 100% guaranteed.

If you have any questions, I encourage you to call and discuss further on 03 5366 4883.
