Leadership Workshop

By Year 12 Leader, Emily (12F)

On Tuesday 19 July, the Senior School Captains, Vice Captains and Academic Captains were given the opportunity to visit the Woodlea Campus to meet the Year 4, 6 and 8 leaders and discuss the meaning of service leadership, and the different styles of leadership.  It was delightful to be able to meet so many leaders and hear about their personal experiences with leadership and the wider Bacchus Marsh Grammar community.

The leaders were also given the opportunity to speak to the Woodlea Year 8s about their upcoming transition into Senior School and the possible pathways available. Some of the Year 8s were nervous about the transition, but there was a general sense of excitement. It was very rewarding for the leaders to be able to provide advice and support to help them with a smooth transition into the Senior Years of their secondary school life.

Overall, it was a great experience for both the Maddingley and Woodlea leaders to get to know each other and we look forward to future opportunities to work with the Woodlea leaders.
