Students will participate in reading stories and short novels, developing higher order thinking and comprehension skills, as well as building new vocabulary. The Word Wizards co- curricular activity aims to provide students with opportunities to develop and improve their reading and comprehension skills. SKILL DEVELOPMENT  Vocabulary extension  Fluency, phrasing and expression  Comprehension skills  Use of dictionaries SELECTION CRITERIA Teachers will nominate suitable students to participate in the Word Wizards program based on comprehension skills and teacher observations.
