2021 Business Notice Bacchus Marsh Grammar CONTENTS - Page 9 - 5.4 Building Levy The Building Levy is an annual levy, which assists in the capital development of the School and is billed on the same basis as Tuition Fees. The Building Levy is a compulsory levy and is not tax-deductible. Students 2021 Annual Building Levy 1 Child $1,949 2 Children $2,488 3 Children $3,100 4+ Children $3,711 5.5 Family Concessions A family concession is offered to families who have more than one student at the School. Students Concession 2 nd Child 17% off Tuition Fees 3 rd Child 20% off Tuition Fees 4 th Child 30% off Tuition Fees 5 th + Child 60% off Tuition Fees 5.6 Other Concessions 5.6.1 Scholarships The School awards scholarships each year. Applications for scholarships are advertised in the newsletter, on the BMG website and in the local press. For 2021, all scholarships will be awarded for general excellence based on a student’s capacity to demonstrate academic ability as well as a willingness to significantly contribute to the broader life of the School. In accepting a Scholarship, parents/guardians are acknowledging that they understand that the School has a reasonable expectation that their child will complete their education at Bacchus Marsh Grammar. The School will require the full repayment of the total value of the Scholarship if students/parents do not fulfill this expectation. 5.6.2 Bursaries A Bursary is a special category of enrolment awarded to a student who would benefit from an education at Bacchus Marsh Grammar but who, without financial assistance, would otherwise be unable to attend or continue their education at the School. The awarding of Bursaries is at the sole discretion of the Principal. 5.6.3 Fee Assistance Fund Bacchus Marsh Grammar has established a Hardship Fund to support current members of the Bacchus Marsh Grammar community who are experiencing financial difficulties. The Fee Assistance Fund has been established to provide short term fee assistance to families who have been impacted financially. It is designed to assist these families to continue the education of their children at Bacchus Marsh Grammar. Details of the fund and the application process can be obtained by emailing the Finance Department on: accountsrec@bmg.vic.edu.au . 5.6.4 Discount for Payment of Tuition Fees, Consolidated Levy & Building Levy in Advance A discount of 3% of all fees and charges will be applied to a family’s account when a family pays the full 2021 Tuition Fees and all Other Charges in advance. To qualify for the Fees in Advance discount, a family will need to make full payment by 10 February 2021 . Any family who, at the time of the billing for 2021 Fees, has a credit balance covering the full year’s 2021 Tuition Fees and Other Charges will automatically have the 3% discount applied to their account.
