7 FROM THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT LUNCHTIME CONCERTS Congratulations and thank you to all students who shared their talents at our recent lunchtime concerts in celebration of International Week. Our wonderful audiences were treated to performances with influences from Japan, France, India, Pacific Islands, Sri Lanka, China, Germany, Portugal and Serbia. Students can be very proud of the manner in which they represented the rich cultural diversity at Bacchus Marsh Grammar. Thank you once again to staff for promoting and supporting these events. TAIKO DRUMMING WORKSHOPS Thunderous Japanese drumming echoed across the grounds of both campuses as students were thrilled by Toshi and his Taiko drumming expertise. Both our percussion students and all Year 7 Music classes participated in workshops, experiencing the thrill of performing as part of a Taiko ensemble, in addition to learning about Japanese history, culture and language.
