Sporting Achievements

Ruby Gorton

Edstart’s Achievement Awards Program is an opportunity for students to be recognised for their contributions and ambitions in an area they are passionate about. Our own Ruby Gorton (Year 8) who is a Hockey rising star, received an award for Physical Sport and Wellbeing. Ms de Longville from Edstart attended the Middle School Assembly to present Ruby with her award.

Congratulations Ruby!

Zali Ward

Congratulations to past student, Zali Ward who has been selected as part of the Australian Hockey Under 21 Women’s squad, also known as the Jillaroos, competing in the Oceania Junior World Qualifiers in Canberra from 8 December. Then she is onto the 2023 Women’s Hockey Junior World Cup in Santiago, Chile next December.

This is an outstanding achievement, along with Zali’s success in the Victorian Women’s Premier League. The whole BMG community is behind Zali and we look forward to cheering her on this December and next.
