Year 3 to 6 House Cross Country at Staughton Vale

A report from Ms Rachel McMahon

Year 3/4 Cross Country Wednesday 2 May

An exciting day was had by all the 3/4 students at BMG Staughton Vale on Wednesday 2 May where our annual Cross Country event was held at our Staughton Vale campus for the first time.

Approximately 350 Year 3 and Year 4 students participated in a 2km course around the property on a real cross country track which included a run through the fig fields, up the hill and back down through the orchard and past the veggie patch to the finish line. The weather was amazing and all students had a great big smile at the finish line!!

Congrats to the winners and now we look forward to the BMPSSA event.

Year 5/6 Cross Country Friday 4 May

After great success from Wednesday’s 3/4 students, Years 5 and 6 had some big shoes to fill. Students were required to run the 3km course who ran in much tougher weather conditions resulting in the Year 6 boys running in some rain but thoroughly enjoying it at the same time.

Congratulations to all winners and also to BRAESIDE who were overall winners . We look forward to hearing about the winners heading through to the BMPSSA Cross Country event.
