Through hands-on experiences, children will be motivated and extended through a variety of Mathematics activities. These activities are designed to support, stimulate and challenge your child ’ s mathematical understanding, application and reasoning skills. LESSON COMPONENTS  Exploring number  Counting  Subitising numbers  Place value  Introduction of maths games and activities, including rules and procedures. Revise mathematical skills required to complete the activities  Problem solving activities  Addition  Subtraction  Making and sharing groups SELECTION CRITERIA Teachers will nominate students to participate in this program. Teachers will use classroom observations and a variety of oral testing tools to select students.
